Grammar

  • Ukrainian alphabet. Phonetics and spelling (printed and handwritten letters).  Apostrophe. Soft sign. Vowels and consonants. Hard and soft sounds. Word stress. Main types of intonation.  Ukrainian euphony. 

    Gender and plural 

  • Nouns: gender and plural forms (підручник, ручка, вікно; книжка – книжки). 
  • Adjectives: gender and plural forms (новий, нова, нове; нові). 
  • Cardinal numbers (один (одна, одне, одні), два (дві), три).
  • Ordinal numbers: gender and plural forms  (перший, другий, третій). 
  • Personal pronouns (я, ти, він, вона, воно, вони, ви, ми, вони).
  • Possessive pronouns: gender and plural forms (мій, твій, наш, ваш, її, його, їхній).
  • Demonstrative pronouns: gender and plural forms (цей, той; ці, ті). 
  • Basic question words (хто? що? де? коли? який? чий? котрий? куди? звідки?)

       Cases

  • Nominative case: nouns, adjectives, and pronouns.

  • Conjugations of verbs in Present Tense.

  • Prepositions (у (в), на, про).

  • HOME: rooms and furniture. 
  • TOWN: places, location, and transport. 
  • EVERYDAY LIFE: daily activities and items. 
  • TIME: seasons, months, days of the week, hours and minutes. 
  • FREE TIME: sport and hobby.
  • TRAVEL: places of interest, continents, cardinal points. 
  • SHOPPING: shops, hygiene, office supplies, money. 
  • FOOD: meals, drinks, kitchen tools, places to eat. 
  • HEALTH:  body parts, sickness. 
  • NATURE: weather, basic animals and plants, natural objects. 
  •  HOLIDAYS & TRADITIONS:  Christmas, New Year, Easter (Різдво, Новий рік, Великдень).
